Urban Knitting

As part of a community arts project, Penny and Lyris May covered bikes in wool, knitted by the residents in Blayney for the annual bike race B2B, a ride that starts in Blayney and finishes in bathurst. Penny was hoping to bring a kaleidoscope of colour and provide a talking point to cyclists and their support crew, making Blayney stand out as a warm and colourful town.

Hopefully this project will get bigger and better each year with new and exciting knitting, installations and sculptures.
